Gong Li now branded a traitor in China because she plans to take on the Singaporean citizenship. These kinds of accusations are ridiculous for so many reasons, I don’t know where to start. They also remind me of the debate that occurred when Aboutaleb, a Dutch politician with double citizenship, was running for a ministerial post and the argument that his double citizenship might implicate his loyalty and thus interfere with his job (right..).

On a more pleasant note, Obama, president-elect of the United States, and “leader of the free world” is a self-proclaimed mutt. Here’s to all the mutts in the world.
