should I quit this blog?

August 4th, 2008

My survey so far has received a grand total of five responses (thanks to all of you who did fill it out). Perhaps a lot more people are still intending to fill the survey, perhaps not. After eight years of blogging, I was perhaps hoping for a slightly better response rate.

So let me put it real blunt: should I quit this blog?

If a tree falls in the forest, and nobody hears it, did the tree really fall? I still love sharing my thoughts and things I enjoyed watching/listening/reading with all of you, but perhaps I should reconsider the effectiveness of this blog as an avenue to do so. In the light of Jason Calacanis retirement from blogging, I might equally consider taking up email instead.

Feel free to leave a comment.
Also feel free to still take the survey.

I read your blog! Religiously. I just haven’t had time to respond to the survey yet…

But don’t quit! Your words are appreciated, and every tree contributes a lot to the ecosystem =)

I do come back and read your blog when I get a chance to. Either way, whatever you decide, you know I’m behind you. Just don’t leave me out if you start an email list. ;)

I write my blogs only for my own pleasure. And at this moment, I still like it.

I’ve been blogging for a few years now. It’s just a good feeling each time I randomly click on my older entries and smile about it.

    “Gosh, I said that”??
    or
    “I can’t believe I was upset over that…”

    So don’t quit. =)
