happy holidays

December 25th, 2006

wish all my readers a merry xmas and a happy new year.

currently in hong kong, where, believe it or not, i have spotty internet access. i did bring my laptop but the hotel where i am at charges a whopping $150 hk dollar per day for internet access. i sometimes crash at pacific coffee where they have internet terminals to get my fix, but otherwise, it’s a blessing in disguise – it should be obligatory to have no internet access when on a break. time to slow down (in hong kong!), to breathe and think.

the weather here, on a sidenote, is gorgeous. and it’s great to be in hong kong celebrating xmas with my family.

funny random-fact: being part of the student representative committee, i had to help a bit with organizing my school’s holiday party. we had to call it a holiday party rather than christmas party because of p.c. reasons. but guess what? we did have a santa, with red costume and beard and all. the inconsistency boggles the mind a bit, but on the other hand, who cares? funny useless random story to tell nonetheless.
