wikimania
One of the perks of being a summer intern at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society is close access to all kinds of exciting events: in the upcoming few days, I will be attending the second Wikimania conference, an event focusing around Wikipedia that brings a whole bunch of cool people together, including presentations by Larry Lessig and Yochai Benkler. The Wikimania conference is followed by another exciting event seeking to discuss Citizen Journalism, led by Dan Gillmor himself, with help from people like Andrew Lih who is working on a book on Wikipedia and Ethan Zuckerman of Global Voices fame. These events promise to be as hot as the temperature here the last few days!
