If one believes everybody is equal, and that everybody should be treating everybody else as equals. If one believes everybody has the capacity to care, and should care. If one believes in the capacity to take the perspective of the other.
Given the recent developments, how can a person with such beliefs not have massive amounts of cognitive dissonance?
