unlimited supply

October 20th, 2005

Me and my roommate had hotpot a few days ago. On our way to buy groceries, we bumped into a friend and invited him over. He asked the following: what would you not mind having an unlimitied supply of, every day?

What would you answer? Godiva chocolates was mentioned. Personally, I hesitate to mention anything, because all good things come in moderation. The one thing I would not mind having an unlimited supply of, every day, is good conversations, I think. Shared connections of understanding for appreciation of the beauty in life.

This entry, btw, is written with the awesome (let me repeat: awesome) new browser flock

“The one thing I would not mind having an unlimited supply of, every day, is good conversations, I think.” How true :) As the world develops, much of the ‘social needs’ of society today has been replaced with material goods. How sad :(

You are too profound. I just want endless supply of strong strong coffee so I don’t ever have to sleep again. That way, I can try to do as many things as i can before i die (-:

You’re absolutely right… A couple of months ago, I baked really nice peanut chocolatechip cookies for a friend. He liked it so much when I baked for him last time and asked if I can send new supply. So I baked again. A lot this time because he’s in overseas so thought it’s better to send a bit more at one time. But I think he got sick of it already. Maybe too much… Yes.. “all good things come in moderation”.

book and sword : gratitude and revenge

is the first novel written by Jin Yong. The protagonist is Chan Ka Lok, who is the leader of the Red Flower Society. The book title refers to Ka Lok being famous for being well-versed in culture and martial arts, but also for having to make a difficult ethical decision. My father named me and my brother after him.

The subtitle is from a poem Desiderata
